WHO IS DJ ROJO?
So I’m generally a very anti-A.I. kind of guy. I think it’s absolutely wrong when A.I. is used to create art that is then sold commercially (as so much A.I.-generated stuff has been proven to be stolen from real artists). While the lyrics of DJ Rojo’s music are all 100% original from me, and my overly-detailed prompts and instructions have made them “unique” songs, there’s always the slight possibility that my use of A.I. in the instrumental output could have been “lifted” from other music sources out there.
Some of my songs remind me of bands I love: Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Duran Duran, and others. This was definitely the vibe I was going for, but I never explicitly used those band names in any of my prompts. I can’t find any music of theirs that’s exactly like any of my songs, so I think I’m safe. That said, if you notice any similarities to existing music, please feel free to write me and let me know!
So while I’m not usually a user of A.I., when it’s used strictly for personal use (which I have done here), it can allow for some pretty interesting and creative endeavors! These songs were made just for fun, and they are free for anyone that wants to listen or use them.
Because of the A.I. usage, and because I have zero intention of selling/streaming this music and making a profit, and because some of the songs are rather explicit, I’m not super interested in being public about who I actually am. I’m not intentionally trying to create a mystery and don’t care if people know who I am, but being less obvious allows me more freedom to share the music!
As for me, I’m a gay, disabled geek – but it’s actually not that difficult to figure out who I am! If you want to know about me, my life, and my stories… it’s all in the music! These songs basically tell my whole life story, and anyone that actually knows me would immediately know who I am from the songs alone. 🤪
Meanwhile, Rojo is a red teddy bear my husband gave me early on in our relationship, and he’s been living with us ever since — desperate to break out and make a name for himself.

I wrote a song (“You Can’t Escape the FOMO”) about the addiction of social media, and if you read the liner notes you’ll realize I’m not online that much anymore. While it’s been wonderful to no longer be doomscrolling, it does makes sharing a project like this a bit difficult. 😅
So please help me in sharing this music to a wider audience!
